Robert H. Hovis, III obtained both his undergraduate and his Doctor of Laws from the University of Tennessee. Admitted to the Bar in 1967 and after a brief military service began legal career as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for the County of Fairfax, Virginia in 1969. He left that position and entered the private practice of law
in 1971 maintaining a general practice with an emphasis on personal injury litigation until 1985, when he limited his practice to professional negligence cases. Mr. Hovis has successfully pursued a variety of claims on behalf of victims of medical negligence throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as a number of other jurisdictions.
Mr. Hovis has been selected based upon a
